Children’s competition for dinosaur paintings and drawings
Entries, on A4 paper, to be submitted to the Library in week of 10th-16th May
Please write your name, age, school, email contact address, and dinosaur description on back of your picture. Open to all ages. The best 24 pictures will be put on display in the Library from 17 May.
1st prize: Family day out for 4 at Slimbridge Wetland Wildlife Reserve, including Welly Boot Land.
2nd and 3rd prizes: Book Tokens from Yellow- Lighted Bookshop. Prize giving will take place on Saturday 24 May at 12 noon in the Library.
Sports Fest

If you and your family enjoy being active, come along to King George V Playing Fields for an afternoon of fun and fitness with Nailsworth Youth Club. Skipping, table tennis, badminton, tennis, hoops and balls are just some of the activities available.
Entrance is free and refreshments will be provided. Boys and girls, mums, dads, grandparents and carers all welcome.
Festival Saturday
Free entertainment supported by a grant from Nailsworth Town Council
From 10.00 am until mid-afternoon
There’s lots happening on Festival Saturday with free entertainment, for all the family, supported by a grant from Nailsworth Town Council. There will be market stalls in the Bus Station and in Market Street and also Duck Races, courtesy of Nailsworth PTFA. Look out for the Vyshyvanka Event in the morning and the family Sports Fest, in the afternoon.

10.15 Moonlighting Duo – street café songs from 1920-1950 with violin and guitar
10.45 Punch and Judy – much loved traditional puppet show - but with a modern twist
11.15 Bubbly Entertainment from Cotswold Children’s Parties - an interactive bubble show where children can even go inside bubbles!
12.15 Moonlighting – swinging tunes and songs from this popular and well-known swing band
13.10 Nailsworth Primary School Choir – entertaining us with their lovely singing
13.45 More laughs with Punch and Judy
14.15 Moonlighting play more vintage music to finish the programme
There will also be entertainment in Market Street including
singer/songwriter Alison Hustwitt from 10.30,
Nailsworth Community Choir at 11.30
and the folk group Elastic Band, from midday.
Playcircle - Seasons Go Round
Interactive musical sessions with a full band, parachute, ribbons, scarves and bubbles, sensory and imaginative musical play for families.

Dinosaur events for children
10am – 10.45am & 11am – 11.45am
At Mortimer Room, GL6 0DU
Tickets £2 per person, ideally one adult only per family/friend group.
Suitable for children 6 – 11, who must be accompanied by an adult. Display of dinosaur fossils, with a talk by palaeontologist William Blows, followed by dinosaur egg hatching simulation and photo opportunity.
